I’m gonna miss Jack A LOT, but I wish people would give Carter a chance before hating on him. He isn’t the one that made this trade.
Having a guy that can score 30, maybe 40+ goals is something that we NEED. They had to do something. Unfortunately it was Jack that got sent the other way. This team has depth on defense, and you know that Voynov is going to be able to answer that call. Yeah, Jack was one of our best defenseman, but they desperately needed to do something. Scoring less than 2 goals a game isn’t going to get us very far at all. This trade improves them, you cannot deny that. (Don’t even try to think that I’m saying trading Jack is an improvement, because he was one of my favorite Kings.)
Yes, I know there is a risk taking Carter, but when isn’t there a risk acquiring ANY player? He knows Richards very well. That’s instant chemistry right there.
It’s starting to piss me off seeing all of this negativity. Just give it time to see what he can do here.
